We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist / Accounting Clerk to join our team in Quincy. This position is responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Requirements

What You’ll Do

  • Process and verify vendor invoices

  • Match invoices with purchase orders

  • Code invoices to correct accounts and cost centers

  • Process electronic and check payments

  • Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies

  • Assist with month-end accounting tasks

  • Communicate with vendors regarding payments and account status

  • Cross-train in Accounts Receivable and other accounting functions to support the

    finance team

  • Be willing to learn, grow, and assist in improving processes as the department

    evolves

  • Perform other related duties as assigned


Qualifications


  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Accounting coursework, certificate, or degree preferred but not required

  • Relevant experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, office administration, or

    related financial roles will also be strongly considered

  • 2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and team members

  • Comfortable working with accounting software, spreadsheets (Excel), and digital

    invoice/payment systems in a fast-paced environment

  • Experience working in agriculture, warehouse operations, construction, or other

    fast-paced environments that handle a high volume of invoices and vendor

    payments is highly valued

  • Willingness to learn, grow, and take on additional accounting responsibilities over

    time
