We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist / Accounting Clerk to join our team in Quincy. This position is responsible for processing invoices, managing vendor payments, and maintaining accurate financial records.

Requirements
What You’ll Do
Process and verify vendor invoices
Match invoices with purchase orders
Code invoices to correct accounts and cost centers
Process electronic and check payments
Reconcile vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies
Assist with month-end accounting tasks
Communicate with vendors regarding payments and account status
Cross-train in Accounts Receivable and other accounting functions to support the
finance team
Be willing to learn, grow, and assist in improving processes as the department
evolves
Perform other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required
Accounting coursework, certificate, or degree preferred but not required
Relevant experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, office administration, or
related financial roles will also be strongly considered
2+ years of accounts payable or general accounting experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to communicate professionally with vendors and team members
Comfortable working with accounting software, spreadsheets (Excel), and digital
invoice/payment systems in a fast-paced environment
Experience working in agriculture, warehouse operations, construction, or other
fast-paced environments that handle a high volume of invoices and vendor
payments is highly valued
Willingness to learn, grow, and take on additional accounting responsibilities over
time
